For some time, we had been contemplating
doing a major landscaping of our property, but knew that we
could not afford to undertake the entire project in one shot. As
it turned out the hardest part of our project was locating a
landscaping firm that: (a) was interested in our project, and
(b) was willing for work with us on a protracted project.
After scouring the Northern and Western suburbs for a landscaper
who would even talk to us, we stumbled upon A.G. Van Gundy -
practically under our noses! We met with their landscape
designer, Gail Uskert, was not only interested but very
enthusiastic about tackling our project. She laid out a plan
that we could install in segments but would look like it had
been done all at once. Not only that, but her cost estimates
were a fraction of some of the wild estimates we got from the
few other landscapers who even bothered ot talk with us.
We tested Van Gundy with a relative small project in the front
of our house and were very satisfied with the result. Over the
following four years, we contracted with Van Gundy to install
the remaining portions of the master plan. The result is with a
very cohesive and coordinated landscaping theme covering all of
our grounds.
It looks like a million bucks but did not cost us nearly that
much!
